HominidX
BRAND IDENTITY, TRADE SHOW DESIGN, AND COLLATORAL
HominidX is a start up based in Boston, Massachusetts looking to improve the world of wearable technology. They launched their first product, Fiber, at the American Society of Hand Therapists show (ASHT) in 2022. This product is engineered to aid those who have lost mobility in their hands in being able to grasp items.
PHASE 1 — RESEARCH
At the beginning of this project, I was given a black and white logo and the open-ended prompt to create assets for HominidX’s first trade show booth. This was their first real presence to an audience other than the few employees that worked there. I had the creative freedom to choose colors, fonts, and begin developing a creative style for the company to use as a guide moving forward. Starting my creative process, I researched various topics such as the industry and HominidX’s anticipated competitors.
PHASE 2 — COLORS
After researching color psychology, looking at what the trusted colors of the industry were, and looking at where other start-ups were pushing the envelope with color, I narrowed my choices down to a final palatte. This would subsequently inform other design decisions.
PHASE 3 — TRADE SHOW WALL
Once I had the colors all figured out, it was time to tackle the trade show booth wall. I wanted to create something eye catching, yet simple and elegant — something that exudes confidence and feels established.
PHASE 4 — INFORMATIONAL FLYER
Two days before the event, I was approached to make a flyer for the event as well. I worked closely with a local printer to get everything printed and finalized in time to overnight to the flyers to DC before the show started.
